My Story

Are You Ready For a Change?

As Chesed Healing Arts & Wellness Coaching, I provide comprehensive services to guide and help you feel the confidence and support you need to overcome your challenges.

In 2018, I finally broke the yo-yo dieting cycle and found a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.  The two women on the left are both me, about 16 months apart.  While the picture certainly shows some dramatic changes, the real change happened on the inside.  My biggest struggles weren't physical but psychological.  I had to work hard to get through my trauma history and the negative self-concept that held me back. 

 

I credit my success to positive psychology and mindfulness.  I had to move my mind from its stuck point and put it on a change trajectory.  I changed my self-concept and my relationship with food. From the comfort of my living room, I started working out with the most inspiring trainers I could ever dream of working with.  

 

No doubt about it, I had the wellness bug. In 2019 I realized I couldn't get enough; I became a Health & Wellness Coach and a Certified Therapeutic Arts Happiness Coach.   It wasn't long before I passed my exam to be a nutrition mentor in the same life-changing program I use. I became certified as a personal trainer and earned socio-emotional learning and mindfulness education credentials.  Most recently, I dug deeper into the psychology of change and became a Transformation Specialist.   

 

That personal and professional development helps me stay at the top of my game and keep my clients on track.  I work with clients to achieve good health and balance in all aspects of life. I use positive psychology, mindfulness, gratitude exercises, therapeutic arts, nutrition, and fitness to coach my clients towards becoming the version of themselves that they want to be.

 

So much of what I do begins and ends with what I call "mind-motion," getting past your mindset and building momentum towards being the person that you want to show up as.  This is why my name on Instagram, Facebook, Medium, and Pinterest is @javajaxmovesminds.
